This beginner Tai Chi move can help you open up your spine and ease back pain. This one is called Moving Clouds.
Here's how to do it. Start by standing with your feet slightly more than shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent.
Extend your arms out in front of you. Turn to your right and place your right hand over your left.
Your right palm should be facing down, and your left palm should be facing up. See?
Then switch so your right arm comes down in a scooping motion as you turn to the left like this.
Only turn at your waist, and don't move your feet. Notice that your hands have switched places on the other side of your body.
So your left palm is now facing down. Now the left hand scoops down while the right arm follows across your chest, just like this.
Not too hard, right? Remember, your arms should only be moving when your waist is moving.
