(waves crashing softly) <v ->This is Deepak Chopra</v> and here is a short meditation on how to be in meta-human.
Meta means going beyond, and human, in this case, means going beyond the habitual, robotic, reactive mind.
So now that you see this beautiful scenery in the background with the ocean front and the beach and the waves,
just imagine that you are actually at this location. Keep your eyes open, look at the colors and the forms
and the shapes that are part of this scenery, and just say, "I am aware of seeing."
That's it. And now you can close your eyes and just listen to the sound of the ocean waves
and say, "I am aware of hearing."
Now imagine that you are actually at that location and you can feel the breeze on your skin
and you can say, "I am aware of sensation."
Now, even as you're doing this, imagine the smell of the ocean, and you can say,
"I am aware of the smell of the ocean." Imagine you can taste the water and say, "I am aware of the salty taste of the ocean."
Notice that the only common feature in all these experiences is, "I am aware."
So, now turn within and be aware of being aware.
Just tell yourself, "I am aware of being aware." If you practice this, you'll soon realize
that the scenery changes all the time, but the seer is ever the same.
The scenery is in time, and part of the scenery is your own body and your own thoughts and how you interpret the scenery.
But you are the awareness, which is the timeless factor in every experience.
You are the seer, which is not in time, watching the scenery go by, which is in time.
This will give you an experience by and by of your true self, which is beyond space and time,
in which the whole experience of body, mind, and universe arises and subsides in a timeless, eternal now.
You are that. Thank you.
