Life Unscripted: Layla on going out with atopic dermatitis
Layla shares the challenges she faces when preparing to go out, from avoiding flare-ups to navigating social interactions.
Transcript
Atopic dermatitis affects me when I'm out in public because I can feel it. I always know that it's there, and I know
that it's an eyesore to others. Even though they probably are not noticing it, I feel like they are.
When I'm preparing for an outing, I always make sure to go to those products that I know are going to heal and soothe my skin,
and stay away from the ones that I know are not or could even be questionable.
If you don't know which products soothe your skin, I would say just don't use any products at all.
This would be a great time to start using your prescription if you have one, or if you don't have one, reach out
to a dermatologist, and try to get a prescription. [MUSIC PLAYING]
