My name is Layla. I'm 31 years old, and I have been living with atopic dermatitis for 31 years.
Painful. It is just very aggravating, and it's on your skin. So it's really hard to forget when it's really flared up.
So many people think that they can get it just by touching you. And that definitely is not the case.
Having atopic dermatitis as a child was way worse than it is as an adult,
especially with other kids at school. I think that's where a lot of the self-consciousness
came from. Knowing that it can change from day to day, so even though it might be flared up one day, the next day
it could be way better. Make an appointment with a dermatologist, for sure. They can definitely help get you on the right path.
