[BLANK_AUDIO] There are so many different medications now to treat
epilepsy. Back when I was in training which wasn't that long ago, although it seems like a long time ago, we only had a handful of medications
to treat epilepsy and prevent seizures from occurring. And many of these medications would have horrible side effects. They would
cause hair to grow in women, they would cause sleepiness in children, but now we have different categories of medications that don't have
these kinds of long term side effects. So we now have I think at least two dozen
different very efficacious medications to treat epilepsy and to prevent seizures from occurring.
