Ashley talks about her harder days with psoriasis.
Transcript
Having a flare up right now, so I'm going to just show you. You can already see on my shirt some flakes of skin.
A hard day for me with psoriasis usually involves a lot of lack of self-confidence. I mostly have scalp psoriasis.
So my hair hurts. My scalp hurts. It's very dry and flaky. My hair is dark, so it's really easy to see those flakes.
You can see the flakes. It looks like dandruff. It's painful to pull my hair back in a ponytail or a bun,
so I wear my hair down a lot. I've spent a lot of time building confidence within myself through fitness and nutrition.
And I really think having something besides being the girl with psoriasis is important. I enjoy working out to gain that confidence so
that when I do have flare-ups, I can go out in public. I'm not ashamed of it. I can share it, show it, and it's just a part of me.
