Ashley shares her view on living with psoriasis.
Transcript
My name is Ashley. I was diagnosed with psoriasis when I was 12. It would definitely be, it's a jerk.
Anything that messes with your self-confidence is a jerk. The best support that I have for my psoriasis
would definitely be my spouse. We've been together for 16 years. So he knows what's my psoriasis does, supporting the process,
supporting me, making me feel beautiful on the days that I don't. Insurance issues, different types of medications,
finding the right doctor that's going to listen to you and be there for you was definitely something I was not prepared for being diagnosed at 12.
Finding ways to build my confidence outside of the disease. My makeup, I enjoy doing. My hair, I enjoy doing. I love clothes, working out.
I really think building your confidence from the inside out is truly what's going to help you get through this disease.
Being your own biggest personal advocate and just really understanding that your doctor is helping you, but you also need to be on top of them sometimes.
