So should I consider prenatal testing for genetic disorders? So, on the whole, every ethnic or ancestral background--
there usually is some genetic condition that tends to have a higher frequency in the population.
So the idea behind prenatal genetic counseling is to identify those populations and which disorders may--
a person and a couple may be at increased risk for. So, arguably, everyone should at least be counseled on the conditions that
may be applicable from their standpoint. And then decide for themselves if they want to carry through
genetic disorders birth defects
