Hi, my name is Heather, and I've been living with VMS for about three years. [MUSIC PLAYING] When I think of VMS, I think of it as often misunderstood
and very dismissed. Having VMS actually makes me feel powerful,
powerful because I can be a better provider for my patients. I want patients to feel seen.
I want them to be heard. And I want them to understand that their symptoms are valid,
they're fair, and they're true. When I know what those symptoms feel like, I think that it helps me to be better and being better keeps me
in a positive light. I think the most important thing that you need is a shared decision with your clinician,
and I just want people to educate themselves so that they are knowledgeable about what exists for them
