I have many patients who come in with acne.
But they want more natural treatments than they're used to getting from dermatologists. So one of my favorites is fermented cod liver oil.
Which you can take in capsules, or take a shot of, every morning. It's kind of gross tasting. So I take the capsules myself. The reason it's so great for acne
is it has omega-3 fatty acids including EPA, which is anti-inflammatory. It's a great source of vitamin A, which
is important if you have acne. It's sort of like what Accutane is, but in a natural form. And it finally has vitamin D, which
is also anti-inflammatory. And, especially, in the winter, we can all use some more of it. So each particular brand, I would follow the directions
on the bottle because you don't want to overdo it on-- and get too much vitamin A. I recommend taking it in the morning.
And you'll have extra energy. And you'll-- your skin will see the benefits as well.
